Vincent served in the Milwaukee Police Department as a Police Officer starting in 1974 and left the force in 1992 at the rank of Lieutenant.
In 1993, Vincent was appointed to the position of Assistant City Attorney with the City of Milwaukee.
Vincent was appointed to Municipal Court judge in the City of Milwaukee in 1999 where he served until 2001.
From 2005 to 2008, Vincent returned to the position of Assistant City Attorney with the Milwaukee City Attorney's Office until his retirement from the City.
Vincent has run his own private practice since 2008.
